The Work-Ready programme at Seton Catholic College aims to start the process of transitioning students from school to work. The Year 9 students are introduced to their possible work and career pathways as they begin to make decisions about what their work future might hold for them.
The Work-Ready programme is made up of 13 informative modules that will be studied over a Semester. The programme incorporates many exciting resources in an interactive online space that students can work through at the College or look into more thoroughly in their own time at home.
The Careers Department at the College have put together information, activities and resources that are relevant, up-to-date, interesting, and useful for the students as they consider their work and career pathways and prepare to enter the workforce.
The different Work-Ready modules will open up a world of job and career options, guide students through pathway choices and provide links to government and industry resources and information. In addition, students will gain an understanding of the skills and attitudes required for workplace success, learn how to prepare for a job application and interview and the modules provide practical, hands-on and fun activities to give context to their learning.
