The Brother Francis Library provides:

  • Assistance to students to effectively use technology to support their learning.

  • The latest technology for collaborative learning.

  • An up to date range of books and resources to complement the curriculum.

  • A rich and diverse range of fiction to enhance a culture of reading and enjoyment of literature.

  • A well-stocked resource of digital books.

  • A vibrant and stimulating learning environment, including spaces for study, collaboration and class learning.

  • A welcoming and comfortable atmosphere where student needs are supported by friendly and well-qualified library staff.

  • The ability to provides 24-hour off-site access to digital resources.

Library Opening Hours

Opening time 7.30 am every day (expect Monday which is closed before school starts) 

Closing times 

  • Tuesday to Thursday 4.30 pm

  • Monday and Friday early close at 3.30 pm

  • Tuesday afternoon: HaSS (3:30–4:30pm)

  • Wednesday morning: English (7:45–8:30am)

  • Wednesday afternoon: Mathematics – General (3:30–4:30pm)

  • Thursday morning:

    • Mathematics – ATAR (7:30–8:30am)

    • RE (7:30–8:30am)

  • Thursday afternoon: Science (3:30–4:30pm)

Please Note: 

  • Students can attend any workshop times to pursue private study 

  • During Recess and Lunch: The Library is a computer free zone to encourage a brain break with Games and Mindful Activities being provided.  Students are also encouraged to read, borrow books and print.
