In this course students develop competencies and skills that will enable them to make informed business decisions. Students will be required to complete tasks using the technology process. Current technological resources will be available to facilitate their achievement of desired outcomes.

Personal money management will also be covered to familiarise students with the strategies required to handle their money efficiently and avoid the pitfalls of easy credit availability. Within the context of running their own smaill business, Students will be required to design, manufacture and sell a product on Seton Day. They will create logos, prepare mission statements and business documents, as well as determining the profitability of their project.

  • Financial Institutions

  • Insurance

  • Money and Credit

  • Personal Budgeting

Assessment

Students will be assessed according to the College Assessment Procedure. All students will be assessed on a number of occasions throughout the year. A variety of assessment strategies have been included in the program, including both practical and theoretical components.
