Theme: Full-Stack Development & Ethical Technologies
The Year 10 DigiTech course equips students with practical skills and critical knowledge for further study and vocational training in digital technologies. Emphasising computational thinking and modular solution design, students develop capabilities to tackle complex digital challenges across full-stack development, AI, and cybersecurity.
Throughout the course, students will analyse and develop advanced digital solutions, including AI engines, simulations, and secure systems, while investigating data security, privacy, and bias in automated data collection. Students learn to create responsive, user-friendly digital projects and implement risk-aware planning to meet legal and sustainability requirements. Evaluation and continuous improvement of information systems is a key component, fostering responsible and innovative approaches.

ASSESSMENT
Assessment:
Students will complete a range of projects, including:
Digital Portfolio Website: HTML/CSS structure, responsive design; hosting all student work.
Cybersecurity Simulation: Threat evaluation, secure systems, incident response; report or media analysis.
AI & Ethics Response: Blog or stream reflection exploring bias, automation, and data ethics.
Query Quest (Databases & SQL): Relational schema design, simple SQL queries, and documentation.
Python Game + Stream/Podcast Review: Original game design with multimedia reflection and recorded review.
Assessment tasks require students to demonstrate computational thinking, ethical awareness, and adherence to legal standards. All performance is evaluated in line with the College Assessment Policy.
