Year 7 is the introduction to secondary schooling for students. They are required to adapt to numerous changes and rise to the challenge of many new learning experiences. To assist in this transition, students undergo a comprehensive induction program, commencing in the year prior to their arrival at Seton and continuing when they arrive on campus.
All students are exposed to a core curriculum which is based on personal development and the traditional aspects of numeracy and literacy. In addition to this, students will sample a broad range of other subjects, thus providing them with a sense of their own abilities, interests and talents. This will be useful for future subject selection, career aspirations and personal growth.
Core curriculum includes: Religious Education; Humanities and Social Science; Language and Communication; Mathematics; Science; Physical Education and Health.
Subjects with "taster" courses include: Dance/Drama, MDT (Materials Design and Technology), Specialist Music, Food and Nutrition, Student Wellness, Media, Computing, Visual Art.
