Students are placed into one of the following courses based on their Year 9 Science and Mathematics grades, along with a demonstrated interest in pursuing a particular branch or branches of Science in Years 11 and 12.
Year 10 Introduction to Physical Science ATAR
This course is for students who have demonstrated a high level of competency in both Accelerated Science and Accelerated Mathematics in Year 9. Students studying this course will have the option to study Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Human Biology in Years 11 and 12.
Year 10 Introduction to Biological Sciences ATAR
This course is for students who have demonstrated a sound level of achievement in Year 9 Science, and is made up of students from both the General and Accelerated classes. Students studying this course will have the option to study Biology and Human Biology in Years 11 and 12.
Year 10 science foundations
This course is designed for students who require additional support in the classroom. These students will be encouraged to enrol in the Human Biology - General course in Years 11 and 12.
