Aim of Course
The Humanities and Social Science in Action course called Human Rights and Wrongs develops students’ understanding of contemporary and ongoing human rights issues affecting individuals, communities and societies at local, national and global scales. Through investigations and case studies, students explore diverse perspectives, evaluate the reliability and accuracy of information, and examine the social, political and ethical challenges associated with human rights. It also develops students’ understanding of contemporary issues affecting people, societies and governments, while building research, inquiry and critical thinking skills. Through investigating diverse perspectives and real-world case studies, students learn to develop informed solutions to challenges, contribute positively to their communities, and become active and responsible citizens.
