How do I report a positive case?

It is vitally important that parents and caregivers inform the school if their child tests positive for COVID-19.

If your child/ren tests positive please note that there is a two-step process that needs to be completed.

  1. Parents and caregivers need to inform the school of their child’s positive COVID-19 result, via the ‘Positive COVID-19 Self Reporting’ link below. This needs to be completed even during the school holidays. The information will go directly to the Principal, prompting our COVID response, which includes marking your child/ren absent for 7 days and providing a link to online learning.

  2. Register via the ‘WA Health Department Reporting’ link below.

Please do not underestimate the importance of informing Seton of a positive COVID-19 case. Your actions will ensure the risk to others is minimised and that we do our very best to limit the spread of the virus across our community.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD HAS A POSITIVE RAT RESULT?

  • Self-isolate for a minimum of 7 days.

  • Register via the ‘WA Health Department Reporting’ link above.

  • Register via the school’s ‘Positive COVID-19 Self-Reporting’ link above - even during the school holidays.

  • At day 7, if symptoms are still present, continue isolating until symptoms clear.

  • If no symptoms are present after day 7, you can leave self-isolation. No testing is required.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD IS A CLOSE HOUSEHOLD CONTACT?

Household close contacts may attend school: however, they must wear a mask for the same 7-day isolation period as the positive household case. If they at any time develop symptoms they must stay home and get tested.

Who can I contact if I have COVID-19 related questions?

Parents can use the COVID-19 Response email covidresponse@seton.wa.edu.au and one of our COVID-19 Response Team will get back to you.
