Seton has two Mental Health Practitioners who are located in our Ngalla Maya Centre, Ms Anina Simonis and Mrs Shannan Black. Both Mental Health Practitioners are involved in facilitating and promoting the health and well-being of students within the College. This may involve individual counselling of students on a range of issues of a personal nature, including social, emotional, behavioural or mental health matters.

The first point of call for any referral process is the student’s Head of House, and if further support is required the appropriate psychologist or counsellor will be engaged. In consultation with the student and the family, a referral to an outside agency for specialised assistance may be recommended.

The services offered by the Mental Health Practitioners are confidential. Please contact your child’s Head of House if further information is required.
