As an extension to the Year 12 Outdoor Education course, students are given the opportunity to attend a three night camp at Margaret River. The Margaret River camp allows students to practice the skills learnt in class during the year and provide a basis for many practical assessments.

The following areas are readily accessible at Margaret River and students are increasingly extended to be both self sufficient and group reliant;

  • Navigation through the Boranup forrest (Night)

  • Camp cooking and preparation of all materials on a strict budget

  • Search and Rescue using methods learnt in class

  • Camp organisation and pre-expedition forecasts

  • Minimal impact practices and thoughts for sustaining our natural world

  • Fishing and survival skills

  • Caving and eco studies at Lake Cave and Giants Cave

  • Rock climbing and roping skills

  • Mountain bike riding
