Private Music Tuition
The Music Department at Seton is committed to offering a high-quality Music education with the support of our team of Peripatetic Tutors. We cater for those who have music experience and those who are keen to learn a musical instrument for the first time. We currently offer 1-1 tuition on the following instruments: Flute, Clarinet, Saxophone, Trumpet, French horn, Trombone, Euphonium, Classical Guitar, Electric Guitar, Double Bass, Bass Guitar, Vocals, Piano and Drums/Percussion. Private Tuition Lessons are a necessary part of developing your child’s talent and interest, but will incur an additional cost. To facilitate this, the College is prepared to hire specialist Tutors (conditions apply).
Students taking private tuition are eligible to join one or more of the many ensembles on offer - Flute Ensemble, Clarinet Ensemble, Percussion Ensemble, Classical Guitar Ensemble, Concert Band, Rock Bands, Junior Choir, Senior Choir and The Setonics Choir which are free of charge. Rehearsals take place at lunchtimes/after school. Throughout the year there are a variety of performance and competition opportunities where students can showcase their talent and skills as a soloist and/or part of one of the College ensembles.
A limited number of Music Scholarships are also available each year.
