A NEW WHITE SHIRT WILL BE INTRODUCED for 2024 AND MANDATORY BY 2026

After over a year and a half of consultation with parents, students, and staff we are now excited to share some important updates regarding our school uniform at Seton Catholic College. As we continue to strive for excellence in both education and student experience, we are introducing a new shirt style that will enhance comfort and convenience for our students. Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that next year, we will be making summer uniform shorts available for all students.

Starting in 2024, Seton Catholic College will be introducing a new white school shirt design for both boys and girls, moving forward neither shirt will need tucking in. The purpose of this change aims to offer greater ease of movement and a modern look for our students. These new shirt designs come off the back of extensive discussions with students and as a result the designs will look smart and contribute to a positive and inclusive school environment.

A Gradual Transition: What to Expect

There will be a two-year phase in period for the new shirts for existing students at the College. We expect all students to be wearing the new style by the beginning of 2026. It's important to note that this transition will primarily affect students in Years 7 through 9. Current Year 10, 11, and 12 students will not necessarily be affected, as they will have graduated by time the new shirts are compulsory. Boys who continue to wear the old style of shirt in 2024 and 2025 will still be required to tuck their shirt in.

If you plan to purchase the new shorts for your daughter, please note that the new untucked shirt style will be required.

Special Offer on Current White Shirts

In preparation for this transition, our Uniform Shop is pleased to offer all current students at the College a 'buy one get one free' deal on all white shirts until the end of the year, or while stocks last.  This opportunity allows for two full years of wear until the new uniform style is fully implemented. We encourage you to take advantage of this offer to ensure your child's uniform needs are met during this transition period. Parents of Year 10, 11 and 12 students may be particularly interested in this offer.

New Students: Preparing for 2024

For our 2024 incoming students (Year 7s and all new Year 8 – 12s) the new shirts will be a mandatory part of the uniform. We kindly request your cooperation in ensuring that your child is equipped with the new shirt design for the upcoming academic year.

Uniform expectations

The shop stocks the full range of winter and summer uniforms. Students are expected to wear the correct and complete uniform travelling to and from school, during attendance at school, for physical education activities and when representing the College.

It is expected that our students will take pride in their personal appearance and be supported in this by their parents to ensure that uniforms are complete, clean, tidy, in good condition and fit well. Each student will thus be a credit to themselves, their family and the College.
